History

DKI/Dansk Kvarts Industri A/S is a well established family business, developing since the start-up in 1953 into one of the major suppliers internationally. With the acquisition of Ormslev Kvartsværk in 1981, today called Stonewalk, we cover the market with all kinds of quartz products, ranging from production of quartz sand to quartz powder as well as sand and stones.

DKII supplies to Germany, the Netherlands, England, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Bulgaria, Russia, and the Baltic countries – and our list of buyer countries is growing constantly.

The central location of our company close to the port of Horsens offers easy access to the East European as well as the West European markets – and our heavy storage capacity allows for quick and accurate delivery.
At the same time, production control and development are a matter of course to us, so both are handled in close cooperation with the Danish Technological Institute.

With the acquisition of Pjedsted Grusgrav Dansk Kvarts Industri A/S retains a strong positions with the manufacture of special riding sand to most of northern Europe, a market which is growing steadily day by day.

Dansk Kvarts Industri A/S has a fine team of skilled employees – in our production, as well as in our administration.
Of the total 15 employees, several have been with us for quite a number of years – and all of our people have a professional knowledge of our line of business.

Our company is now headed by Claus Hove Sørensen who is the second generation of the family owners.
